    PLC Programming Essentials

This course is designed for those who have completed PLC Programming Taster, PLC Programming Introduction, and PLC Programming Software courses, or have a solid understanding of PLCs and programs and want to create more detailed projects using bit and word PLC instructions and consider the PLC scan.  PLC instructions used include bit, cascading timers, cascading counters, one shot, shift sequence, integer, jump, retentive. Each project uses a process description to develop a PLC ladder program solution. This is the same method used in industry to write PLC programs to a customer specification.  Assessments are based upon the relevant performance and skills requirements described in the UEE Electrotechnology training package. Completion of this course will prepare you for the next course in the series PLC Programming Applications.
